“Special fabric masks to fight COVID-19”.
A group of twelve cooperatives from Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Calabria and Sicily has converted its activity to produce cotton masks with a double protection mechanism (on the one hand, an anti-microbial treatment, and on the other, a water-proof treatment). The project, which is led by the CSC Cooperative of San Cesario sul Panaro (MO) and the Progetto Quid Social Coop of Verona with financial support of Coopfond, Legacoop’s promotional fund, has been activated to respond in a concrete way to the health emergency. The type of fabric used includes up to 100 washes per mask, with obvious savings in supplies, costs and waste.
