“Social integration starts with food”
Semino (in Italian both “seed” and “I sow”) is a project that was created to bring ethical, sustainable and healthy agricultural products to the market and to offer employment and inclusion opportunities for migrants. The cultivated products are species present in the diets of migrants and difficult to find in Italy. Semino promotes the culture of integration through food. The project was born in the garden of the Serre dei Giardini Margherita, thanks to the virtuous collaboration between the Pictor Social Cooperative, the online platform Local To You, the center of studies and research in urban agriculture Rescue AB (University of Bologna) and the Bistrot Vetro.
